Week 107: A quiet week

This week was a rare quiet one. At work, several people are on holiday and another team we’re working with are busy with a launch. At home, the kids have been away and I’ve been home alone in the evenings.

In both cases, I’ve filled the time with a variety of chores and maintenance tasks.

I’ve finished coding a prototype, assembled some furniture, fixed some bugs, recycled some old furniture, installed loads of updates, sorted through old kids toys, worked on some new features for the prototype kit, bought new school uniform, and on and on. None of these things are individually very impressive, but put together it’s been satisfying to cross a lot of things off my to-do lists.

Next week the kids will return to school, my team at work will be back to full capacity, and we’ll welcome the return of our director Rachel.

But first it’s the bank holiday weekend.

Off to Kew Gardens this weekend. Feels like early autumn already.
